iPod 5.5G 60Gb/Kensington FM Transmitter 33365: will/can it ever be supported?
« on: April 16, 2008, 12:55:13 PM »
Hello, I tested the above mentioned Kensington device with my iPod without much optimism but hoping at least the sound would work, if not the display. Unfortunately neither works. I added an entry in the Wiki's ipod accessories page. Question is, should I go and get another compatible transmitter or could this one be supported anytime soon?

Which Rockbox version are you using? Your problem might be related to http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=16392.0 , you also may find very helpful information there (see Chronon's). I use a kensington dock 500 and the sound comes out fine, I can also change the volume using the remote (rockbox r17120)

Thanks for the prompt reply! I'm using the latest SVN version. I did test thoroughly before posting, In native firmware I set the frequency (since no Kensington display appears through Rockbox), then rebooted into Rockbox and played a track. After tuning into the frequency on a radio I don't hear the track. Pressing/rotating the single button on the device doesn't do anything.
