I've searched the forum and Im wondering if there has been updates on gapless playback. Im trying to find a way to update my existing mp3 to achieve gapless playback. I know crossfade is the easiest option but Im just curious if there is anything out there that could update my albums.
Im not opposed to converting to another codec if sound quality isn't lost.

Apparently Audacity can batch remove gaps from MP3s.  Check it out.

As far as Rockbox is concerned, though, it looks like development in this department is nil:
