Is there a difference on the IPOD 5th Gen Mobo?
(1/1)
thonolan:
Is there a difference on the IPOD 5Th Gen motherboards between the 30GB and the 60/80GB?
I am asking because I did a hard drive/battery/case upgrade to 80gb.
The "Apple" mode works with no problem,
However with Rockbox build r17069-080411
I get an "unidentified Instruction at " and a random hex address.
Or I get a "Prefetch Abort at" another Random hex address.
Both of these errors require me to reboot the ipod.
The only other thing that changed is that Itunes put 1.3 firmware on the ipod.
pondlife:
The 30GB model has 32MB of RAM, the 60/80GB models have 64MB of RAM.
Rockbox is available as both 64MB and 32MB builds, but the 64MB build won't work on the 32MB model.

Thank you. That is what I needed to know. I will install the 32meg build and make some tests.

Update:
With the 32MB Build I no longer get those errors.
Thank you again.
