A few quick questions from a Rockbox Noob.
« on: April 14, 2008, 06:44:29 PM »
Hi, I recently installed Rockbox and I'm very pleased with the firmware. There are a few questions I'm wanting to know.
1.) How often is Rockbox firmware updated? (On Average)
2.) How can I tell if my version is old?
3.) Why won't my downloaded themes work correctly?
4.) What are the best builds of Rockbox?

*I'm using Rockbox on a 5G Ipod Vid: 30gb.

Thanks for your time, and hopefully you can help. :)

1) Many times a day (see changelog on the front page)
2) It is.
3) How can we know without more information? The obvious answer is "there's something wrong with them" but we can't really know what without more.
4) Unsupported builds are off topic in the main forum.

2) If your revision number differs from the number of the last revision on the homepage, it is old; however, you don't have to update constantly. Only when there are improvements that you want and/or need.

Or when you want support - we require you try with the latest official current build before reporting any issues in case it has been fixed since your version.
