Tracks are being auto-labeled and mistagged.

Hi. I installed rockbox and I'm very happy with it. I am using the Video iPod: 30gb version. There are only a few problems im having. My main concern is that my audio tracks are being incorrectly tagged. I manually named them on my computer but they aren't labeled the same on Rockbox. Can I stop Rockbox from editing my track names? Also; I can't seem to find any of my Mp4 files (videos) to play. What am I not doing right? I also have another problem; my alarm comes on and works fine unless my iPod is plugged in and charging. Is there any way I can keep my iPod charging over night and have my alarm wake me up in the morning, or will I have to unplug the charger if I want my alarm to come on? Thanks for your time and all help/suggestions will be much appreciated.
Llorean:
Rockbox does not change tags (in fact it cannot). Perhaps you should use a better tagging program to verify the actual metadata is right.

fri, you didn't mention whether or not you're getting entries in the database that look like
--- Code: ---< Untagged >
--- End code ---
.
Also, if you check the versions that you have on your computer with a proper tagging tool can you verify that they are properly tagged? I have seen situations where iTunes will not write metadata tags to the file, but will store the info in its own database.

---This is the problem with mine. Numerous tracks are popping up as >untagged. However, once I get on iTunes and Anapod Exporer my songs are all properly tagged, as well as in the old apple firmware.
GodEater:
It is known that iTunes stores at least *some* tagging information in the iTunes database on the iPod - which means that the music files themselves are NOT tagged.

so how can i go about tagging them then? and what about the video playback/ alarm problem?
