Remote display problem on my Iaudio X5 with lastest build

Hi

Since a few weeks, I do have problems with the new builds....

First problem is that when I am in the last track of a folder, and I push the next track button (arrow right) it goes back to the first track of the same folder or sometimes, it jump to the second track of the next folder....(instead of the first)

If I let him play by himself (I do not push right arrow) when the last track of the folder is finished, the X5 jump to the first track of the next folder without problems....

Next problem is that with the builds from the 2 last week, the display of the remote control vanish after blinking a little for a few second....the only way to get the display back is to unplug-replug the remote control connector...

I tried the oldest build available 11 03 08 but I still have the wrong skipping problem...
I hoped that newer builds would correct this but no !

Did I do something wrong ? Does someone have the same problems ? Can I find somewhere build more older builds like early January when everything was working fine for me....

Is this still an issue with the newest builds? I know I've seen weird behaviour when skipping tracks with auto-change directory too (for me it often repeated the last track which I just skipped and would say that this would be the first track of the new directory, going on from there with the second track of the new directory). But I don't see this with a build of yesterday anymore.

Sounds like the bug report in tracker task #8840, don't let the title mislead you, someone reported this with an Iaudio remote too. The problem is that there are only issues with some remotes it seems because the developer tested on all his remotes and didn't see any of the mentioned quirks. Maybe you can help providing information and with testing?

The last build I tested with was the one released wednesday.

I'm glad to hear that the skip problem seem resolved but cannot benefit from it as if I download the last build, I will still have the blank remote problem and I use it primarily

I installed the latest build in my X5 today (04 July 2009) and I now see the remote issue (blinking then blank) is back

The exact same problem that was discussed last year here http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/8840

The previous build I had was 221208

Any idea/help ?

I have at least second problem myself with version 3.3 of Rockbox, I have not noticed first problem because I only use playlists. Second problem with remote is already reported in flyspray http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/9954. I also managed to solve my problem with remote by reducing the speed of data transfer between player and remote in lcd driver. You can find patches with changes I made in flyspray task I mentioned previously. You can try this changes and see if they help to solve problems with your remote also.

You are welcome! That is not so easy you must setup the build environment and then download sources, then apply patches and finally build your version of rockbox. Instructions how to do it can be found here http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/DocsIndex#For_Developers.
