Sansa c200 Playlist
(1/1)
robin0800:
It appears that a foobar generated playlist of music files from both the player and its micro sd card,
when placed on the player will error on the files on the micro sd card.
This is simply a path problem and there are work arounds.
However it would appear that the playlist parser does not at present look for files on the micro sd card.
I think it probably never needed to before the sansa port and I wonder if it now should be modified?
Llorean:
The playlist parser doesn't "look for" files. In the cases where it corrects the path, it simply trims extra information, it doesn't add any or do any searching. But if the playlist properly points to the MicroSD (as in, using the virtual directory that Rockbox uses) it'll play files on it just fine.
robin0800:
I think I said that there are work arounds and that is one them, but the fact still remains you can't use a foobar generated playlist without editing path information.
This might be beyond some peoples expertise.....
Perhaps putting them off Rockbox claiming it dosn't work!
Llorean:
If you use Rockbox to create your playlists, they'll always work fine. The problem, at the moment, lies with playlists created by third party applications. You posted this in the forum, so I was telling you how to make it work in Rockbox as it stands. Clearly this wasn't a feature request, but an information request, since you posted it here, right?
robin0800:
Well yes it is sort of simply because we could not blame foobar who because the Sana is in msc mode and foobar correctly uses the microsd cards drive letter, therefore it is a feature of Rockbox.
I,m happy to make a feature request if it hasn't already been raised.
I've raised a feature request FS#8883 - Add support for third party playlists On the Sans port
