End of playlist behaviour and resume from playback
gorman:
Hi!
I'm just wondering why, when a playlist has ended, if I press play the DAP reports nothing to resume, while, if I go and look at the current playlist, the playlist is still there.
Wouldn't be nice to be able to press play and restart playing the playlist from the beginning? I'm saying this even because, before thinking about going and having a look at the playlist menu, I was led to believe that the playlist was deleted automatically once played completely through (which would have been even more worrying).
GodEater:
Odd that you should bring this up, as this behaviour, and whether it's a good thing or not produced a rather heated discussion in IRC recently. I don't think we reached a consensus on what the ideal thing to do is currently - so for the moment - the behaviour will remain as is.

:) I've never been on the IRC channel. Is there a log of this discussion? I'd like to understand what the advantages of the current implementation are, as I can't see them (which doesn't mean they don't exist, obviously).

Is there a search facility, though? I couldn't find one and GodEater was kind of generic in his indication (recently).
