Bricked E280, help please?
joelberg:
Can I use e200tool to put whatever new .mi4 file or do I have to use a specific one?
zajacattack:
Pick whatever firmware you want, just make sure you download the bootloader that matches that firmware (they will be on the same row in the table on the link I gave you).
joelberg:
Well I'm in Knoppix right now fooling around and I can't get it to detect the player as connected. Â I tested my camera and that worked just fine, I actually preferred the ease that it connected to windows. Â But not a bleep from my Sansa. Â The blue light comes on when I plug in the cable and thats it. Â I was also able to run the e200 tool and it was unable to detect the sansa either.
It looks like rockbox killed my player ??? unless there's something else I can try.
Chronon:
Are you sure it doesn't do anything? Knoppix always detected devices pretty well in my experience. What does lsusb give you?
Llorean:
Also, please don't jump to conclusions. The problem you're having happens before rockbox even runs. Updating to a new build wouldn't reasonably cause this. Assuming it even could make your device stop booting normally, if your device really won't detect (which is still uncertian since there are tests yet to run) it would indicate a failure most likely of hardware.
