New Theme for the Gigabeat: Derivative

I actually did, although that was quite a while ago. I may still have the email, but what exactly would be the appropriate method of getting his permission? I know I did ask for it and obtain his approval in advance though.

What do you mean by this?:

Oh, I simply mean in the .wps code, it looks a bit sloppy, as I was running into issues where transparent lines would cut across the album art. I simply moved all of the code down enough lines to work around the issue. I haven't observed any issues with this, and it was a recommended solution on the tracker for Viewports.

Oh OK... well album art could be in it's own viewport, I don't think that "whitespace" is necessary, and it would be good if anything else would be in a viewport (not necessarily of it's own, though!) to avoid such issues (since volume, battery, hold, repeat, etc are not placed within any additional viewports) Also sometimes those empty space lines you have inbetween commands are actually "displayed" on the wps and can sometimes cause images clipping ;)
Monkeytamer:
Thank you for the advice hhannah. I tried the method of implementing more viewports to contain dynamic bitmaps, yet this seems to prevent images from loading. Perhaps you might be so kind as to take a look at some of the code, because I am uncertain as to how I can implement viewports for bitmaps. I made an attempt, but the images refused to display.

Cool theme. Can you port it to Sansa e200 series?
Monkeytamer:
I might give it a shot, depending on whether I have enough time to work out the dimensions for how to properly display the WPS. Unfortunately, I don't look forward to writing a .wps file any time soon, so it could be a while.
