Wierd Sleep Thing...

I dont know where to ask for help so im going to just ask for help in the general discussions...

Ok so i messed with some settings with rockbox and now the gay ipod nano 1st generation wont turn on, idk if maybe its cuase the backlight thing that i messed with or something else... please if any one can help, please help me...

EDIT: Well... i just read a thread that said the sleep thingy was being wierd too for them, but they had ipod linux, i only have rockbox... anyways, i just held down the middle and the menu button for a few seconds and it restarted, just like he said his did, so idk wat t he problem is but... my ipod is being wierd...

The reset key combination is hardware driven and a basic feature of all iPods.  It behooves every iPod owner to know how to reset their device in the event of system hang.  If the device hangs before the Rockbox bootloader appears then the fault would seem to be Apple's bootloader code.  Indeed, I have read quite a few accounts of this sort of thing on Apple's forums.

So, are you still having problems, or did the hard reset work? If not, you can reset all settings back to default by flicking the 'hold' switch on immediately after the reset. That would at least fix a backlight issue.
