Newest firmware: possible to get the old firmware back?

<< < (4/4)

Optik:
That did the trick.

Deleted everything rockbox related from the player and did a complete re-install.. works again..

The boot-up is a lot quicker than before.. I wonder if they changed/updated a lot.. Too bad i could't find any kind of "History" for the OF versions..

MarcGuay:
Just reinstalling the bootloader would have been sufficient, for anyone stumbling across this in the imagined future.

Hi, I just got my "new" Sansa C250 the player tells me in its menu that it is a version 1 player (settings 01.xx.xx).
It has the latest Firmware on it so i wanted to down grade it!

I used the recovery mode to boot the player dropped the firmware.mi4 in the 16MB driver an pulled of the cable.
Now it doesn't start it shows the sandisk logo and on the upper left stands "Invalid image"

What did I do wrong and how can I repair it?  :-[

Thanks for help!

Add: The 16MB drive contains a File called VERSION that says :

Version Info:   Product Rev.: PP5022BF-06.10-S301-06.10-S301.00.03ERT
Base Code: 06.10-S301-06.10-S301.00.03ERT
ODM Ver.: S301-06.10-S301.00.03ERT
OEM Ver.: S301.00.03ERT
Build Type: RT
Build Date: 2006.10.04

Maybe that helps ?
