Rockbox does not detect newly copied music

I have tried both with no luck -- how long should it take?

There are only about 60 files, though rockbox detects over 200...

Do you have a recycling bin that hasn't been emptied?  And when you say it detects over 200, do you mean the database is detecting them or the file count plugin?

funkadelic:
Recycle bin is empty on the PC that I am copying files from (I hope that is what you meant)...

The file count that I am referring to is the one displayed under the progress bar in the "Now Playing" screen.

Once again, neither "Update Now" nor "Initialize Now" seem to have any effect whatsoever. Still an incorrect file count, still trying to play deleted files and still not detecting new files.

MarcGuay:
So you created a playlist of all the files on your player?  How did you do it?  Are you creating a new playlist or loading an old one?  The files must still be on the drive somewhere if they're being added to a new one.

Actually, he meant the recycling bin on the player.  Try running the Disktidy plugin.  I believe that will empty any deleted files from the recycling bin on the player itself.
