Rockbox does not detect newly copied music

I ran Disktidy and it reports: "Cleaned up 0 items"...

I am not using any playlist at all -- I am simply copying directories full of mp3 files to the MUSIC directory on the root of my player.

Whenever you play music with Rockbox you're creating a playlist.  How are you starting the playback of your music?

I used "Create Playlist" and this seems to have fixed everything...!

Previously, I was simply pressing the "Play" button...

I did not realize that...


"Create Playlist" seems to be doing what I thought updating the database would do.
