--- Quote from: Multiplex on April 08, 2008, 08:31:02 AM ---There is (used to be) good information on iRiver H100 and H300 battery changing over on Mistic River http://www.misticriver.net but if you've taken your player apart and soldered the wires you probably know most of it already.
The vital information is that you can use the same battery as an iPod, 2nd Gen I think - you should check this
forum search seems to be down right now but I found this link via Gogle http://www.misticriver.net/wiki/index.php/Battery
But you MUST change the polarity of the wires in the plug (it's the same plug but the wires are the other way round)

FWIW: I had an ipod replacement battery in my iriver (yes, cables switched) and it almost ruined my player when it inflated and started leaking. CameronSino offers high capacity batteries compatible with iriver: they fit better, no need to swap wires and they are reliable.

I am checking for a CameronSino on ebay, will update you when it is (or not  :-\) repaired. Does it requires reversing polarity ?

if you get a h1x0/h3x0 CameronSino replacement battery, the cable is correct. 'Just' plug it in ;)
edit: example offer on ebay: http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/2200mAh-HI-BATTERY-FOR-iRiver-H110-H120-H140-H320-H340_W0QQitemZ360038126805QQihZ023QQcategoryZ86541QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Interesting that there are more and more dedicated iRiver batteries - I'm wondering how you can be sure that these are Cameron Sino (yes the picure has a Sino watermark) - I also looked on the UK eBay site and got no hits when including Sino and/or Cameron in the name.
Admittedly the last iPod battery I bought and used was Cameron Sino.

sadly (indeed) you cannot search for the brand, I use the watermark on the image as a good enough hint. On some pics you can actually see the brand name on the battery.
So no guarantee but it worked for me ;)

Funky stuff.
I just asked a specialized battery store in Paris, prce would be 89 euros for the battery. Mmmm. Let me think. Na. I'll go with taiwan folks on ebay ;D
