Gigabeat remote - long press to turn off

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, I tried searching and didn't see anything. Is there a reason why long press on the play button for the Gigabeat remote can't be defined to turn off the player, like the original firmware did? I don't believe any action is assigned to it now, and it would (at least for me) be a huge increase in usability, as I usually have the actual player in some pocket and only the remote out for controlling it. Is there any other way of turning it off from the remote?
