Confused about adding files
« on: March 30, 2008, 09:20:00 PM »
I added some .mp3 files and deleted some.  I think I did the update database.  It said running in the background.  I never did see any changes.  How long does it take with less than 100 .mp3 files on a e200?

I ended up doing the init database.  Seems like something you would only want to do once.

All I really want to do is play the mp3 files once in filename order.  Or some order.  It seems really hard to just play all songs.

Thanks.

You can do that pretty easily from the file browser rather than the database.  Just use the Playlist --> Create playlist from the root directory.  (Make sure the "recursively insert directories" option is on.)  Then play the resulting playlist.  Alternately, if all of your files are in a single directory tree, just long-press Select on that directory and select Playlist --> Insert.

That was too easy.  I must be doing it wrong!

It works great, thanks.
