E280 questions... help needed

Firstly i would like to apologize if this seems like a silly question, im new to this. I installed rockbox and i love it. Now for the questions. Why does the Context menu not show options such as rename or delete. I installed the current build and after reading the manual i was surprised to see the other options which i did not have. Help please.

Second question, why does it cause distortion on my speakers and not my headphones? Even on neutral settings the audio is distorted.

I appreciate any help and advice, thanks and regards.

Have you selected a file in the file browser before entering the context menu?

For the distortion issue, that sounds like your receiver is expecting a lower volume.  Perhaps it has an "input level" knob that you could turn down, or you could just turn down the Sansa's volume and crank the stereo.

thanks for the reply. Yes i highlighted a file in the database, pressed the select button longer than usual and the only option that comes up is playlist. No cut, rename, delete anything like that.

As for the distortion, still trying to figure that out, mmm...

Any answers to my problems? Thanks

I believe the options you're looking for are only available through the file browser.  The database is merely an index of metadata tags that point to your actual files.
