Is this propably a sansa e280 v1?

The original packaging was dark -- like so:



There are still about 5 of these sitting in the campus bookstore at my university.

I just got a refurbished v1 off of eBay, by the way.  I asked the seller for the firmware version on the machine and was able to confirm it as a v1 that way.

It looks like the v2 package is desribed but no audible support is mentioned.

Really, given the experiences of lots of people on this forum, the only way to determine the model is via the firmware revision:

1.x, 2.x - V1
3.x - V2

I was under the impression there is no 2.x version firmware, just 1.x.x (v1) and 3.x.x (v2)
