Sansa: Still getting poor battery life.

I fully charged my Sansa the other day after installing Rockbox and noticed a few problems with the battery.


1. After a few songs, the "time left" went from 18 hours to 16 hours. I know for a fact that not even 20 minutes had passed by.

2. The battery time left keeps jumping up and down. One minute it will be at 12 hours and 30 minutes and the next it will say that theres 14 hours left.

3. Judging at the speed its decreasing, I'm making a rough estimate that there's only 4 hours of music play with Rockbox.


What am I doing wrong? I was told earlier that this problem was fixed.

First: This is not an installation question. I've moved it.
Second: We state openly the "time left" is known to be inaccurate. Please, run a benchmark under identical conditions with Rockbox and with the original firmware, and you should see they're fairly close. You haven't even mentioned what time your original battery actually tests at for comparison.
