Sansa e280 v2 Issue

Ok, I've been reading about some issues but since I'm in sunny Kabul at the moment I have little time to be online.  I have the e280 v2...it has the firmware 3xxxx so my question is the following...

1- can I downgrade in any way possible?
2- is there a way to install Rockbox in this unit as it is?
3-am I S.O.L.?

No.  As has been stated many many times (the forum search is your friend), the v2 has completely different hardware inside compared to the v1.  You cannot turn one into the other.  To get Rockbox on it requires a completely new port.

P.S.  Please try to use real words - for instance I don't know what S.O.L. means, and I'm a native speaker.

ortizimo: depends how badly you want rockbox.. you might find an interested dev to swap his v1 for your v2... irc and the dev mailing list is the place to find out...
