New iPod software removed Rockbox

I have just recently gotten rockbox and enjoy the program very much...However today i just downloaded the new 1.3 apple iPod software onto my iPod because the notification message has been annoying me. I took the iPod out and no Rockbox showed up. The Rockbox software folder still is showing that it is installed on my iPod when i look on my computer for it, but it still will not start up on my iPod nor will it when ever i reset it. I also have also tried unstalling it and reinstalling it on my iPod many many times...What do I do??? Can i get rid of the 1.3 apple software or is there another way to bring rockbox up on my iPod. I have a 30G iPod video.

No, not the whole thing - just do the bootloader install again (either with Rockbox Utility or by running ipodpatcher).

Okay so I re-installed the bootloader and everything on rockbox like doom and stuff works fine, but now when i try to reset the iPod and swich hold to change it into my iPod software it goes to the apple sign and inside the iPod i hear a click (as well as a little vibration as if some part inside my iPod wasnt working) and then followed by another noise which brings me back to the apple screan and back into rockbox...please help...basically i cant get out of rockbox

Okay, not a problem. Well after i begun having the problem i whiped rockbox out of my iPod and my iPod was fine. I then went back to the site re-downloaded rockbox from the iPod 30g section and everything was fine and in the folder, im almost positive that the iPod was in disk mode the whole time. Now for the boot loader, i went to the same iPod tutorial that i origionally found on youtube and clicked on the link to the bootloader on your site from this link  http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-ipodvideo/rockbox-buildch2.html#x4-110002.3.2. I then clicked on the bootloader which was this from the windows section  http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/ipod/ipodpatcher/win32/ipodpatcher.exe. The black screan came up and I pressed i and enter, waited a bit untill it said press enter to exit, which I did. I took out my iPod by ejecting it and now i have this problem...I apologize ahead of time if I made a mistake, I still love rockbox

Please don't follow some random youtube video on installing rockbox - we don't make them, which means we don't control their content, which means we cannot endorse them as a good guide to follow.

Please use the steps in the manual. Personally I'd start off by using the Rockbox Utility, and only if that doesn't work would I then use ipodpatcher.

I am truely sorry but my friend told me to use youtube and it worked absolutly fine the first time, it wasnt untill i downloaded the new iPod software and had to redo it I stated having problems. I would use the manual but i have trubble understanding it, sorry im not a very good computer person, but I will try to use it again, thanks

Please, refer to the manual in the future. If there are parts of the manual that you don't understand, then ask us.
