Hidden folders sansa c250

(1/2) > >>

w0nderer:
I read about the hidden files in music on the sandisk sansa c250 v1
so i did the whole, settings, show files all

my problem is slightly worse in a way

i organized my files originally
music
   rock
       acdc
       def leppard
   pop
   classical
   blues
so on
in some cases 3-4 directories deep
and while i can now use file browser to see inside 'music'
there are no directories there
on reboot to original firmware the files are there

other than that, rockbox looks nice :-p
does anyone have a solution for this issue?

zajacattack:
How many directories do you have in one folder?

See http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-sansac200/rockbox-buildch7.html#x10-1220007.6.5 for a possible solution.

w0nderer:
well total files is 243 as reported by oem firmware
assuming directories in the music dir count as 'file system entry/file'
i may actually hit a total of 260
that's not counting
.rockbox
photos
system
and so forth

zajacattack:
Try increasing the settings that are described in the manual link I posted.

w0nderer:
increased to 1000
no change

realized it might be because my one computer (where i dumped all the muzak from) wouldn't connect in MSC mode so when i copied the music over i had no drive letter

so right now i'm deleting and recreating same structure in msc mode to see if that was it
also since i read an entry about hiding \music i figured i'd trick it and use \musik

from what i can tell when filling with music in 'autodetect(MTP)' it creates the music in /system/mtpcontent/

--edit--
seems the same structure gets created when filling c250 music in msc mode
--end edit--
issue resolved: with msc mode copy and \musik all problems are solved

thank you very much for your help zajacattack
