need urgent help please(will pay $$)
Llorean:
What, EXACTLY, are you doing?
U2_IPOD_Owner:
okay exactly what i do is..
i turn the hold switch on and off for about five seconds and i make sure its turned to OFF
then i put one finger on the MENU button then one finger on the SELECT button at the same time then i press pretty hard, to the point my fingers hurt, and wait... ive waited up to 2 minutes out of curiosity
Llorean:
You don't need to push nearly that hard. In fact, it's possible you've damaged your player by being abusive, and that's why it's not working.
U2_IPOD_Owner:
that be strange story to tell people that i abbused my ipod.
well okay then i guess ill just send in for a new one
AlexP:
You just need to press the buttons normally for upwards of 30 seconds sometimes, having first flicked the hold switch on then off. This is a hardware reset, that Rockbox cannot affect. If it is not working, either you are not doing it correctly, or there is a hardware problem.
