current selection

in the artist view (lists all albums for an artist) or the album view (lists all songs for the album)  is there a way to set this up ti show the current selection?  ie.  in the artist view, can it show the artist for that list?  and for the album view, can it show the current album?

also, is there a way to skip to the next or prev album from that view?

why do i care about this?  I really like the random feature (i've got about 300 albums on Toshiba F40 including a lot of stuff i havent listened to in way too long.) and when it selects something, i would like to be able to see what it selected.  and when it selects an album that is part of a multi-album set, i would like to be able to listen to the whole set and be able to navigate that quickly.  perhaps there is an easier way to do this...

Read the section in the manual regarding the "Follow playlist" setting.

I think you actually want (as you are appearing to use the database):

"Same as current..."

If you use that Database menu option while playing a song, you go to a list of options allowing you to filter the database on the same "Directory", "Title", "Artist", "Album" or "Composer" as the currently-playing track.
