Howdy, Rockbox is good stuff, love it.
Sorry if I didn't search long enough to find the answer to this if it already exists.

Is there any way to have different fonts on the player and remote?  I like to use a large font on the player, one that can display unicode charachers (lately I like "9+18x18B.fnt", it's easier to see in the car than unifont.

It would be nice, though, to have a smaller font automatically displayed on the remote in order to have a bit more info there.  I know I can use a different cfg for when I use the remote, but is there any other way?

No, not yet. It's a known limitation.
