Duplicate Songs Suddenly

(1/2) > >>

mlogans91:
I tried booting the original firmware on my 5g iPod for the first time since installing Rockbox recently and it worked fine, but when I rebooted the Rockbox firmware, a little while later many of my songs were duplicated. Its not taking up any extra memory, it's just annoying. There are also way to many for me to go through and delete all the doubles, how can I solve this?

AlexP:
Can you check whether the duplicates are actually pointing at the same file?  To do this, add both to a playlist then use the playlist viewer to see if both entries have the same path.

zajacattack:
Have you recently deleted any of the songs that appear doubled?

XavierGr:
What do you mean by "duplicated" exactly?
There are 2 instances of some tracks in the file menu of Rockbox, or do you mean the database? Or do you happen to see 2 same files when you explore the contents of your iPod on your PC?

If you are using the database and the problem appears there, maybe it would be good to reinitialize it.

mlogans91:
Yes, they are the same file. And yes, they are in my Database, when I go to an album it will have two of some songs. I tried deleting one of the two files on some of my songs, and when I updated the Database both the files were gone. How do I reinitialize the Database?
