tmt, I have split out your posts from the "Bricked e200" thread and well as zajacattack's reply and merged them into this thread.
BigBambi has already asked you this once, and I am going to reiterate it: please DO NOT post the same question in multiple places. It makes the discussion disjointed. Please keep all discussion of this problem in this thread.
With respect to your comment, "now my player is absolutely dead," please describe in detail what you have done so far.

--- Quote from: zajacattack on March 17, 2008, 10:26:12 AM ---1. Get the Linux copy of e200tool at http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200tool.html
Also, from that site, download an i2c rom file, a firmware file, and a bootloader file and put them in the same folder as e200tool
2. Connect your Sansa
3. Using the terminal, navigate to the folder you saved e200tool to (i.e. "cd /whatever/whatever/where_e200tool_is", without the quotes)
4. Type "e200tool init" (without the quotes) and hit enter in the terminal
5. Then, run "e200tool i2c program i2c.bin" (without the quotes)
6. Then, ONLY WHEN IT FINISHES, disconnect and then re-connect your Sansa
7. Run "e200tool recover BL_SD_BoardSupportSD.rom" (without the quotes) while holding record until you get into recovery mode
8. Copy the firmware and bootloader to the recovery disk
9. Disconnect and it should be fixed
Also, note, any of the file names above should be replaced with whatever you named the files when you downloaded them.

when I'm doing part number 5 it's writing to me
"Failed to claim the interface (-1, Operation not permitted)"
What should I do?????? :o :o

Try a different USB port or a different computer (are you on Windows or Linux?).
