IpodPatcher.exe cannot find my 5.5g

(1/3) > >>

Warrant:
My Ipod is plugged in and in disk mode. I can actually see it in My computer. According to windows its a FAT32 partition. However when I run ipodpatcher.exe I get this error message.

--- Quote ---[INFO] Scanning disk devices...
[ERR] No ipods found, aborting
[ERR] Please connect you ipod and ensure it is in disk mode
[ERR] Please refer to the rockbox manual if you continue to have problems

Press ENTER to exit the ipodpather:

--- End quote ---

Any ideas? I've read the manual and I can't find anything about it. I've tried it on 2 different Admin accounts.

zajacattack:
Are you sure it is a 5.5G iPod?

If you are unfamiliar - http://ipodlinux.org/Generations does a very nice job of describing not just the internal, but also the external differences between iPods.

Warrant:
Yes. I'm sure. MY main evidence is that it has the search feature. Plus many other applications such as ipodwizard won't recognize it since, according to the help file, its 5.5g.

Llorean:
I'd imagine the iPod Classic also has the search feature, they're not in the habit of removing features.
