Hi again:

Sorry about that.  I meant to say Speex and not MP3.

Thanks.

Domonoky:
Hi,

if the wavfiles are fine, it surely sounds like it is the encoder, but i still have to find the bug :-)
could you please provide such a cutoff talkfile for analysis ?

Hi:

How do I send the file to you or should I just provide the link to my FTP server?

Thanks all over the place.

Domonoky:

providing a link to your ftp is fine, or else you could just email me..

I'm not sure if this is related to the original problem here, but I cannot get the rbutil-created voice file to work.

Sansa e260
Rockbox r16908
Rbutil 1.0.4 configured to use Microsoft Mary SAPI5 voice and speex encoder

I successfully used rbutil to generate .talk clips for all my music files and folders that all speak very nicely.

I then tried to create an english.voice file that appeared to be generated correctly, giving a 1584 kB file, but it just does not voice any of the menus. The downloaded english.voice file (http://www.rockbox.org/voices/sansae200-20080405-english.zip, 869 kB) voices correctly.

FWIW, I also tried creating a norsk voice file, but that did not work either...

That seems to have been my mistake. I noticed afterwards that rbutil designated player was set to Sansa c200, not e200. With that changed, the voice file seems to be created correctly for any of my voices and languages.  ::)
