rockbox.ipod should be inside the .rockbox folder, as it is in the rockbox.wip that you download. Â If you extract rockbox.zip directly to the player root, the correct directory structure will be created. Â The .rockbox should NOT be inside any other folder on your ipod.One way to do this on linux is from the directory you have downloaded rockbox.zip to, type "unzip rockbox.zip -d /media/ipod" replacing /media/ipod with the correct mount point for your ipod.
Have you repartitioned the iPod at all in the past, or otherwise changed the layout of the partition table?
Does the Apple firmware still boot? (switch hold on when the apple logo appear to dual boot [I think ])

I tried ipodlinux before rockbox and repartitionned my ipod at this time. But I came back to the origine configuration with the command "dd" and the save files I did before trying ipodlinux...
