alphabetical disorder
« on: June 14, 2008, 11:45:47 AM »
Hello,
I copied a 20 disc audio book. While this process worked fine in the first step to the laptop (I used windows media player) - that means the discs are on the laptop in a  numeric order, after moving them to my iriver120, there they show up in an alphabetic order 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, (...), 2, 20, 3, 4, etc.
What can I do against this?
Ente

Are they numbered like that in the filename or metadata (browsed by database)

In either case, the best solution would be to re-rip with two-digit track numbers (01, 02, 03 etc.)

Whoa.
Might be a semantical issue here - but no need to re-rip, you can retag and rename.  This kind of tagging can easily be done in bulk.
