I really dig the open source Rockbox but....
« on: March 11, 2008, 07:31:33 PM »
as the title states really dig the stuff but..
i was going for a bit of a run so i thought i should change the theme for somthing a little more suited for running out side.  but when i changed from blue glass to the Ipod theme the menu screen was left really dark and the font changed to the black font of the ipod theme..  hence.. i cannot read the menu items and cannot navigate about the player..  im wondering if this is a known issue or perhaps it has been addressed in recent releases..  it kinda leaves me with no choice but trial and error and hope to get back to a readable theme or reload the rockbox..  like i said i really dig the rockbox but just thought i would drop a note about this little glitch.

peace.

It's not a glitch in Rockbox, but rather poor design by the theme author. They assumed certain colors would be unchanged from the default, and neglected to explicitly set them, leaving you with a black screen. Simply follow the instructions to reset your settings, and you'll be fine, or delete config.cfg in the .rockbox directory.

You can prevent this behavior in the future by making sure that all of your themes properly set text and background colors.
