Cannot connect Sansa E260r

I'm new to this and not sure I'm ready for all the tweeking...Here's the beef:

I successfully booted to rockbox, but cannot connect via the usb port, or boot to the Sansa software.  I get the following error:

Loading Original Firmware
Trying Firmware Partition
Bl Mi4 size Mc00

Can't load from partition.
Invalid file format
Trying
/system/of.bin
File not found
Can't load
/system/of.mi4
File not found

i'd like to get Rockbox working correctly, but I'll settle for getting the original configuration back.

Same issue here. Followed them to a T, it will boot and work fine as long as it's not connected to a computer (Linux or Windows). Latest build.

You did not copy the firmware to the SYSTEM folder then. You must re-install the original using recovery mode and then re-install rockbox. See http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaFAQ#Problem_Troubleshooting_Question
