Auto Update (iPod)
« on: March 10, 2008, 05:59:48 AM »
Hey I'm new here.

I'm using an iPod (5.5G), and I've got close to 70G of music on it.

As you might imagine, the Update Database function takes *ages*.

Just wondering if Auto Update will speed up things in my case (and if so, will it be a great deal faster)?

Btw, I'm still using iTunes to actually copy across the music, if that makes a difference.

Any info appreciated.

Auto Update scans your iPod's hard drive everytime you boot up rockbox... you might be better off with Auto Update turned off, and only run Update Now when you now you have added new music.

Ahh. Definitely better off without it then.

Thanks.
