Rockbox shutsdown but ipod never turns on again?

ok so here is my problem

so when i am turning off my rock box i get the message" shutting down.." like usual.

but the ipod never turned on again?
this happened before, i left it for like a week and it randomly worked again?

any help ???

also its a 2g ipod mini

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and guess you maybe aren't aware of the Menu + Select hard reboot combination? If your ipod won't respond, do that for up to 30 seconds--most likely it will come up after about 5.
Does that fix your problem?

Could also be a flat battery -- charge for a huge while, preferrably using a wall charger.
