e250R Issues!!
« on: March 08, 2008, 06:07:18 PM »
Hey everybody.  I just got my new e250R, and am trying to install Rockbox.  I chose to do the Rhapsody version instructions because it's an e250R.  Everything worked fine until the end.  It installed the new firmware, shut itself down one more time (the instructions said it would), but as it started up once more when it was supposed to be in Rockbox, it won't go past the SanDisk start up screen.  It won't even turn off.  The only way to get it off is to put the lock button on, which it then shuts down automatically.  Since I can't do anything with it right now, is there any way to get rid of the programs (ie. a special manufacturing start up?)

Thanks in advance for the help

Whether that works or not, consider installing the bootloader manually. It's not hard.

Also, browse your files to ensure that the /.rockbox folder is in its place. (Just go to My Computer and double-click on the Removable Disk that is your Sansa. You should see a folder called ".rockbox". If it's not there, put it there manually.
