What ipod do you have?  What OS (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, ...) are you running on your computer?

Are you running ipodpatcher as administrator/root ?

elyon:
i have a classic (60GB) and am running Leapod or windows xp pro
also have a XP home on a compy that is not hooked up to the internet
i have a jump drive 16 GB so getting things on my non-internet one isnt a prob...
and no i am not an admin...

LambdaCalculus:
The ipod Classic is the 6th generation iPod, and we don't support that model.

Are you certain it's a Classic?

(EDIT: Fixed... thanks linuxstb for pointing out my error.)

The Classic comes in 80 and 160 GB only, so if yours is 60 GB it isn't a Classic.

I believe ipodpatcher requires admin rights.  On the Mac try running it with sudo, on XP you will need to log in using an admin account.
