Standalone game
« on: March 06, 2008, 10:04:23 PM »
Hi, I am a beginning programmer.  I have a good hold on procedural programming and C++ syntax and can make functioning classes/objects.  I am also learning a bit about OpenGL drawing.

I work on VC++, which came with Visual Studio.  Would I be able to develop and port a simple standalone game/program to Rockbox for the iPod Video?  If so, what tools would I need?

See http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/DocsIndex#For_Developers

Specifically you'll need the dev environment, either running in cygwin, colinux or vmware.

Keep mind rockbox does not use c++ or opengl.
