New to Rockbox..have some questions

OK I installed Rock box on my newly acquired Sandisk Sansa E270.. works great... a few things though... my data base seemed to sync to my computer music files by itself when I set it up..as a result there are quite a few files that i wish to not have on there and a few missing files that I do want on there... I figured hey I'll just hook it back up to my system and delete them and update the database right?? Wrong... When I hook it up to my computer it reboots and mounts with the original firmware.. is that normal?? Also when I opened it up and deleted the files that I didn't want on there and made all the file adjustments stated earlier& I disconnected, rebooted & initialized the data base and there was no change.

So I guess my biggest issue here is can I hook my MP3 player to my computer and mount it with Rockbox firmware and access my files that way??
 I also would like to access my 4GB Micro SD card through my computer (the original firmware does not recognize anything above a 2GB card which is why I went to Rockbox) that I have so I don't need to get a separate card reader.. Rockbox sees it but my computer doesn't through the original firmware.  ???

Rockbox USB support is not here yet, but it will be soon. Once it is, you can use rockbox to mount the Sansa and the microSD card. Until then, it is normal for it to boot into the OF for USB transfers.

Thanks for the info on the USB issue.... as for the other..I read that thread and  deleted all of the DB files... ran disktidy... initialized the DB and still no change  :'( Am I missing a step? If I boot to the OF everything is perfect...except I can't access my SD card. Is there something else I could try?

Ok never mind... it was my fault.... I had a few rouge files accidentally loaded I found them got rid of them and all is fine... the only thing is I have to go out & get a card reader..that stinks but hey it could be worse I could not have an MP3 player that does what I want it to do or i could have an Ipod...  ;D Thanks for your help and not I move on to some neat themes.. I love this firmware... can't wait for the USB update though!
