How do you add songs to your Ipod Nano 1st Generation?

How do you remove songs from you Ipod Nano?

However you want.  To rockbox your Nano is just a hard drive.  Personally I copy and paste to get them on, and delete to get them off using Explorer (well, Dolphin actually, but... :)) as I like proper folder structures and ease of use, but if you want to use iTunes or other management software then feel free.
