Will do!

The external link was because since the "unframed" versions (both for the ipod video and the gigabeat) are just additional alternate versions (the "framed" versions were already on the wiki), I didn't want to abuse the storage space. Additionally, the gigabeat and the sansa versions were so far only tested in the simulators. So by the way, if someone gets to try them, I'd appreciate any feedback about how they work on target (like Chronon did... thanks!)

I have been using it as my theme ever since.

Now to try the Sansa version. . .

---
On my e280:

One thing I'm noticing is that it looks like the battery graphics may be mislabeled.  The image on the WPS is showing just a sliver of red in the battery widget.  But the battery indicator on the main menu shows that my battery is nearly full.  I'll inspect this more when I get back later.  Just wanted to give a quick report back.  I also notice that when I skip forward a few tracks and cause a rebuffer, the image representing disk access doesn't appear in the correct location.  It gets displayed overlapped with the elapsed time.

Thanks Chronon!
Corrected

(anyone knows if there's a way to force the simulators to show the hard disk activity?)

Edit: Chronon apparently the "full battery" icon was pointing to your neightbour's sansa I apologize!!  :D

Here is my final port of your WPS for the Gigabeat F/X. I took the liberty of having new features to make it much better. WPS-Viewports and the new multi-subimage tag addons, have made it much easier to make WPS's for Rockbox. I have attached a couple screenshots below. I welcome any comments also. I will post this version to the wiki after I have cleaned up some of the images. Thanks again!

Well Done kperri.
This is even better than the original. I hope hhannah or anyone else make this specific WSP works on Ipod 5Gen.

Thanks to hhannah again though for the main idea for the creation of this fantastic WSP

nicks23, I guess that anyone that ends up making a theme (except in cases like the default theme contest), does it because that particular person uses it, and of course, likes it. And possibly as one way to "give back a little from what one takes", ends up posting it for others to use it. That's one of the beauties of Rockbox. Also, since anyone has the possibility to modify the themes according to personal preferences and for his personal use, in the end what you do when you post a theme, is making a base idea available, that others may like or not, but also may modify; as little as the for example the information displayed, or as much as kperri did for his gigabeat. So having the tools and information for modifying (or making) your own WPS, is definitely another of the beauties of Rockbox!  ;) . And although - from what I've seen so far -  "custom wps implementing" is totally out of the question, I'm sure kperri will help you make your own ipod video version based on his.

By the way, it's "WPS", not "WSP".

Here is a more updated screenshot of my Gigabeat port. Still haven't posted it yet to the wiki. I want to make the volume icons a little wider and make the battery icon horizontal to fill up the extra space in those "widgets" before I finally post it. I should have time later today to do that after I get off work.

Meanwhile, hhannah, do you want to replace your Gigabeat port with mine or do you want me to add mine as an alternate version? Either way is fine with me.

... I'm sure kperri will help you make your own ipod video version based on his.

nicks23: If you can draw out a custom layout of what you want using MS Paint, photoshop, or GIMP based on the original screenshots or my port. I might be able to write the WPS code to go along with it (no guarantees). I don't own a 5th Gen iPod, but I could use the simulator to make the WPS and test it out.

Oh come on!  :D

I don't see a reason to take my themes out. Asking someone to do that sounds rather arrogant don't you think? If you check the gigabeat, sansa and h300 ports, you'll see your personal modification is so different, it does not keep the original intention at all... which is also ok... you can also name your version different (please do!) The only things in common are the use of the original icons.

Don't worry, I was just joking around!  ;D I didn't really mean you should replace yours. Of course they are two representations of how someone differs in style. How should I name mine then though, "Alternate arboxWidgets" or something completely different.

I split kperri's announcement into its own topic.  Discussion for arboxWidgets can continue here.  Comments regarding kperri's gigaWidgets should go in the new topic.

Thanks for moving the post, I probably should have started my own new thread anyways.
