new sansa c250 firmware V1..

Just noticed sansa have released new firmware version for America, Israel and Europe..  Released 26/02/2008

v 1.01.07

now with some European versions (1.01.07F) they have now enabled the FM radio, so arguably you dont have to go searching for non European versions of the firmware to get the FM Radio to work on the sansa..

However if you are prompted to download such firmware!! Dont!!!!  the downside is Rockbox Does not work with this version of the firmware.. The current sansapatcher fails to patch the bootloader so therefore Rockbox will not boot.  

anyway I rolled back... so if anyone does update in error rollback to either of the following sansa firmwares, as well as being able to use the sansapatcher this will also enable The FM radio to anyone who has a sansa player with the fm chip, the ones released after December 2006 (i'm, led to beleive)

Well, someone could then proceed with the update and then fix the problems with sansapatcher!

Well yeh there is that... If thats so then that would be gr8...

would resolve the issue of people having to roll back their firmware.. etc

be intresting to see if anything develops on this issue..

Interestingly enough although the new firmware doesn't work with the sansapacther they have however re-enabled switch USB mode to MSC in the settings menu..
