LCD takes quite long to come back

Hi there,

I have a problem with Rockbox in my H340 sincs two days now. I posted my issue already in a German forum - but unfortunately nobody could help me.

the probel is. When palying music and the LCD goes of. When I touch one buttum to bging up the LCD again it takes up to 2 seconds.

The problem occours since I installed the newes daily build (on saturday). Today I installed again the newes daily build - but still the same problem.

Anobody any idea?

Do you have the LCD fading option turned on? It's in the LCD menu.

perhaps I'm blind - but there is no LCD fading option in my LCD menu ....

This is a known recently introduced bug, I get it on my h320 too and no you're not blind, the h300 does not support fading of the lcd backlight.

There's no FS report yet, I meant that I have seen it too, doesn't seem to bee 100% consistent though...

I noticed that too and it's really annoying.
I think it came since the Thread.c was changed on 02/28:

I think jhMikeS said that right now the backlight thread lacks enough priority, or perhaps that some other thread had too much.

This may be obvious news, but since the only player I've seen mentioned so far is the H3x0, I thought I'd add that I've noticed this behavior on my e280 recently as well.

I've noticed this on my e260 as well, but only when I skip a track.  The track will advance to the next one in the playlist, but the backlight won't come on until about 2-4 seconds into playback.
