Sansa e200r Error Rock Box Installation Incomplete

Hi,

I have a e200r 8 GIG, followed instructions to the letter for Rock Box installation w/ Rhapsody Player; upon reboot & database refresh & re-boot

Rock Box logo appears, then text message comes up:

Rock Box Installation Incomplete

I can flash back to OEM Sansa firmware and natually it works as original, so.....

What am I doing wrong? Boot loader installation works fine, files renamed and copied properly, using current e200 build, NOT daily build

You need the full .rockbox folder.  Did it extract to your player from rockbox.zip correctly?

Good question:
I usually unzip files and copy them to their destination to avoid corruption during de-compression.

Would this make any difference?

Yes, it often does depending on unzip program and OS.

Try unzipping directly to the root of your player (as it says in the instructions...)

Never thought that would make a difference!

Used Win Zip Pro, unzipped to root, re-booted...

Works like a charm!
