Crackling / White Noise on Sansa whilst in Shuffle Mode

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced an issue lately whilst using the shuffle feature on a Sansa?

What I experience is a loud crackling / white noise effect, quite painful on the ears. The issue seems to have appeared within the last month or so, and has been in every build since.

Specifically, however, this problems only occurs if I attempt to shuffle on a directory located on an SD card.

Could anyone else confirm whether this happens to them?

Rockbox Build: r16441-080227
SD Card: 6GB MicroSDHC

I don't have a Sansa but have experienced something similar..one question: do use crossfade?
Have a look at FS#8651.

Yep, sure do.

Well, at least I can be assured that my Sansa is not knackered.
