Should I Update My Bootloader or Original Firmware?

What exactly has been done with the bootloader recently? (I installed Rockbox on December 26, 2007, so my real question is: Should I update my bootloader?)

NOTE: My Sansa firmware is currently version is currently 01.00.04A. Would anyone advise upgrading that?

Upgrading the original firmware is up to you. Just realize that you have to re-install the rockbox bootloader if you do that.

Now, updating the Sansa bootloader is only necessary if the new firmware requires it.

Updating the rockbox bootloader will not do anything. The build of the bootloader has not been updated recently.
