Sansa: Disable Database Refresh in OF

I hope this post isn't inappropriate but:

I'd like to know if there's a way to stop the Sansa OF from rebuilding the database on boot up.  I asked because Rockbox does not yet support file transfer and every time I startup the original firmware to transfer files I have to first wait 5 minutes while it rebuilds the database.

Thanks,
mark

Rockbox already does everything we know how to do to prevent this, but if you have a MicroSD card in, or possibly certain firmware versions, we can't prevent it.

Oh, surprised to know this, I also hate the time-cost non-sense OF database refreshing ... so, could it (preventing the refreshing) work on a Sansa250 with firmware version 1.01.00? If it could, which operations/settings I need to do? I appreciate your help so much.

Now I see something important (if one sees that you started another thread explicitly mentioning that you have a *C*250).

On the c200s Rockbox can not prevent the database refresh because the original firmware behaves a bit different than the e200's original firmware. The only thing you can do is wait for Rockbox's own USB support which is being worked on but noone can tell when it will be ready.

Strife89:
Before booting to the OF, unplug the micro SD card. After the database refresh, plug in the Sansa, wait a moment, then insert the micro SD.

It's a modest improvement, but it helps. :)
