Images Not showing in WPS(WIP gigabeat theme here ^^)

I'm working on a theme for my gigabeat but when I tried to make it load images, they're not showing up in the sim or on my player.  
Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

It works properly when I edit another theme to use my graphics...  Could it be the program I used to make the .wps file?  I used wordpad on windows.

Wordpad works fine for me; you're saving the file as a text document, right, in the drop down window?

I had a similar problem recently when i had renamed the wps file temporarily to something different to the theme wps folder where the images are.

i.e if your wps file is   mytheme.wps your wps folder is: .rockbox/wps/mytheme

when i renamed my wps file to mytheme2.wps, the images weren't loading.

The folder and the file had the same name and it was a .wps file.  I edited a different theme and renamed it and it works fine...  I guess I'll just make my themes this way  
I don't want to make a new thread for it and clutter the forum so...  Would anyone use this?
I'm linking to it because it's weird on the forum.

Make sure you are saving the file as Unicode, not ANSI. Im pretty sure Unicode will work, if not, try UTF-8.

Images not showing in the WPS could have a few reasons.

Since you didn't show the complete file: maybe you don't preload the images correctly with the '%xl' tag, or use the wrong parameters (maybe x and/or y positions are off)? There's also the possibility that you use too many or too big bitmaps; this is limited to a certain amount of data. A few people ran into this problem and described here that it lead to some bitmaps not showing up (there must be a few threads about it here)...

After looking around the files a little bit I discovered wordpad wasn't saving it the way I wanted it to.  I'm gonna use notepad from now on.  Thanks for the help everyone.

Really? Cause I always have the opposite problem. Notepad saves wrong and wordpad works fine.

I wouldn't use either to be honest. Notepad++ is both free, and far superior.

EDIT: I can't get it to do nested delimiters like the greater than and less than signs. For instance, hoo> causes it to mark the last symbol as not having a starting delimiter.
