Problem with new build r16430
« on: February 27, 2008, 01:09:31 AM »
just installed the new build on my ipod 5.5g 30gb but instead of gapless playback I get an annoying pause between tracks where they are supposed to follow on, am I missing a setting or something.

Which format are you using?
How were the tracks encoded?
Did this only start happening with r16430?  (You can try previous daily builds to narrow down.)

Seems ok here (with CBR MP3 encoded with LAME --nogaps).

Perhaps you could put two consecutive tracks that show the problem up on Flyspray (or PM me and to arrange a download)?

Tried the build from 28-01-08 and it is still the same but using the evilg custom build it is ok which is dated 17-07-07 which I have now gone back to, so don't know what is wrong with it playing m4a files. UPDATE: The very latest build - r16441 has the same problem which is a shame as I would like to get a newer build on my ipod now it has album art etc which is the main reason I went for the custom build in the first place.

r16430 is giving me issues when playing FLAC albums. Often, a track is jumped, and the "x of y" counter on the WPS either doesn't advance, or just advances by one number. Stopping playback and selecting the skipped track manually allows it to play.

My FLAC files are Q8 and were encoded from CD sources using CDex under Wine in my Kubuntu laptop.
